APPROVAL OF THE LNS BIRD OBSERVATORY AND OUTDOOR CLASSROOM GRANT PROPOSAL TO THE LOWES TOOLBOX FOR EDUCATION PROGRAM FOR LAUREL NOKOMIS SCHOOL
Description
COMPETITIVE: Grant funds of $4,854.00 will transform an old, unused playground from a sterile eyesore to a vibrant habitat. The garden will provide students with an area to enhance their science curricula. It will also interface with the schools SIP goals which address improvement in Reading, Math and Science.
Recommendation
That the School Board of Sarasota County approves the LNS Bird Observatory and Outdoor Classroom proposal.
